Drawing on your ideas...
My Background
I am someone who has a disability of autism. I was diagnosed when I was 2 years old. Having autism makes me unique. I worked very hard to learn things that come easy for most people, but for me were very difficult. I am always ready to put a full day in without distraction. I can concentrate on a project without losing focus. Art is my strength because I enjoy drawing on paper and designing things on the computer, and I can concentrate on a project without losing focus. I love to be creative because I can spend hours thinking about stories in my mind and bringing them to life! I love to learn and then use that knowledge in my everyday life to help others. I also want to help make my community and the world a better place by making people happy. I am dedicated to my community, design, creating joy, and I work hard for my clients to provide the best service possible.
Who I Am
I have a lot of patience, and I work well with others. As a graphic designer, I enjoy bringing my ideas to life! As an employee, I take direction well, and always want to do the best work I can! I stay organized, so I do not miss deadlines. Working on websites, flyers, characters, storyboards, logos, and other graphic work excite me because doing those kinds of projects are jobs I like to do now, and in the future. I can listen, collaborate, and do what is expected of me.
How I Hope To Be Perceived
I want to be perceived as an all-around good guy. I am casual and laid back. I want my audience to fall in love with my style of art and connect with my stories. The user viewing my portfolio should see it as interesting, imaginative, and corporate. I want my concepts to be clean, easy to follow, and bring great outcomes. My original character, Bill the Elephant, is really an extension of me. It’s easier for me to express myself and things that I have experienced through Bill and his friends.
My Message
The most important message is introducing Bill the Elephant. The second important message is kids can learn important lessons from Bill in my books. The purpose of my portfolio is to show future employers my abilities. I want to find a job as a graphic artist and promote my original work to the public. In the future, I want to have a dream job where I make Bill the Elephant popular through my books! I want to do this dream job because parents and teachers would love to read my books to their kids. My ideal audience would be elementary school teachers, parents, and librarians.
